EE launches new pay monthly handset and SIM-only plans

EE has announced that it has simplified its pricing structure for pay monthly handsets and SIM-only plans to ensure customers can create a plan that is perfect for them.

EE's updated plans allow new and existing customers to continue to enjoy the benefits of the UK's biggest and fastest 4G network, with the added option of personalising their plans with add-ons including BT Sport access and the ability to use their call, texts and data allowances in select international destinations.

Offering the best of EE, EE Max pay monthly handset plans come with unlimited minutes and texts, the biggest data allowances (up to 60GB), to use in the UK and 53 destinations around the world, including North America, Australia and the EU. Customers also get free sporting action on the BT Sport app for the duration of their contract and the latest phones every year with an annual upgrade programme on selected devices. On the new EE Max plans customers can now get the latest Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship handset for just L50 on a L53 per month, 24-month plan which offers unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 8GB of data.

The new EE Essential handset plans start from just L15 per month, with 4G speeds of up to 60Mbps, and unlimited calls and texts, which can also be used in 48 countries at no extra cost. New customers taking out an Essential plan can also get free access to the BT Sport app for three months. On the new EE Essential plans customers can now get the Hawk Android handset with no upfront cost for just L15 per month, on a 24-month plan which offers unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 500MB of data.

EE has also revised its SIM only plans, with allowances of up to 40GB of data. All SIM only plans also now come with unlimited minutes and texts and are perfect for customers who want to keep their existing phone, buy a phone outright or who wish to pass their old one onto a family member.

EE Essential and SIM only plan customers now also have the option to choose to mix and match from a selection of add-ons, normally available only to EE Max plan customers:

  • Go Faster - providing access to EE's fastest 4G speeds for just L2 per month (30-day rolling plan)
  • BT Sport app - allowing customers to watch the best live sporting action on their phone for L5 per month (30-day rolling plan)
  • Go Further - so customers can use their call, text and data allowances in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand for L10 per month
  • Alternatively, customers can opt for an EE Max handset plan and reap the benefits all of three of the above add-ons, for just L5 a month extra - saving L12 a month.

All customers on any EE pay monthly mobile plans also benefit from the following EE Extras:

  • Free Apple Music
  • Data caps - EE customers can never go over their data allowance by accident, so they're always in control of their spending
  • All customer calls are answered in the UK and Ireland
  • WiFi Calling - Allowing customers to make calls and send texts in more places across the UK
  • Data boost - EE pay monthly mobile customers can boost their EE pay monthly phone plan's data allowance by 5GB when they take EE Home Broadband
