Carphone Warehouse revives its mascot, Mowbli

Carphone Warehouse revives much-loved character, Mowbli, in a new campaign to encourage the nation to compare and save.

Carphone Warehouse, the UK's largest independent mobile retailer, has announced the return of its popular character, Mowbli, in a new marketing campaign to encourage consumers to challenge Carphone Warehouse to get them the best deals across their mobile, broadband and energy bills. Mowbli, who last appeared as Carphone Warehouse's mascot in 2008, has been given a smart, new look for 2018 and will be fighting for a better deal for consumers throughout stores and online. Challenged with a new mission, to help millions save millions, Mowbli will help to bust consumer confusion around complicated bills and resistance to switching to show that there are more savings to be made.

Mowbli, Carphone Warehouse's biggest fan is there to ensure sleepwalking into a bad deal is a thing of the past. Mowbli reflects Carphone Warehouse's new offering of comparing and saving deals for customers across TV, broadband and energy tariffs, as well as mobile networks, as it looks to become the new home of comparison on the high street.

Carphone Warehouse has been giving independent expert advice for nearly 30 years, with more choice than any other mobile phone retailer. Unlike the comparison sites Carphone Warehouse has trained teams of experts in over 950 stores, on the phone and online, ready to make switching providers simple and easy. In the last year alone, customers have saved on average £693 per year online and across its stores nationwide by comparing the widest range of networks, broadband, TV and now energy deals.

The upgraded Mowbli character kick-starts his new mission from 1st February appearing in online and print adverts from Carphone Warehouse, spreading the word about his assignment to save people money. In addition, Mowbli will be 'Unboxed' by one of the UK's leading tech influencer Super Saf to kick off Mowbli's journey across the Carphone Warehouse channels, challenging our customers to find him, online and in-store for a chance to win a new iPhone X.
