EE launches new 4GEE Home Router

EE has launched a new 4GEE Home Router, its first own-branded Cat 7-enabled mobile Wi-Fi device, compatible with 4G+.

Available immediately nationwide, the new and improved 4GEE Home Router is ideal for customers who live in areas with slow speed fixed-line access and provides a flexible and convenient alternative using the UK's fastest 4G network.

The new 4GEE Home Router can connect up to 32 devices with real world download speeds of up to 90Mbps and is ready to go straight out of the box. The device is also portable, so can be easily turned off and on again should a customer move house.

The 4GEE Home Router allows customers to access EE's 4G network which currently extends to 83% of the UK's landmass (equal to more than 99% of the UK population) and EE has an ambition to extend 4G to 95% geographic coverage by 2020. Meanwhile, EE's 4G+ speeds are available in more than 150 towns and cities across the UK, and are as fast as Fibre Broadband.

According to OpenSignal, EE has the UK's fastest 4G, with average download speeds above 30Mbps. As a result, the 4GEE Home Router will help provide an alternative to many of the 904,000 homes in the UK that receive broadband slower than 10Mbps.

Available for order in-store, online and via EE telesales from today, the new 4GEE Home Router is available free on the following 18 month price plans:

  • 10GB per month - £25
  • 50GB per month - £50
  • 100GB per month - £75
  • 200GB per month - £100
  • Alternatively customers can purchase the device on pay as you go for an upfront cost of £129.99 with 10GB pre-loaded data

All EE 4GEE Home Router customers also benefit from UK and Ireland call centres as well as data caps, ensuring they never go over their data allowance by accident.

Specifications:

  • Dimensions: 146x146x32mm
  • Weight: 400g
  • LTE: Cat 7 – 300Mbps Maximum Download and 100Mbps Maximum Upload Speed
  • Platform: Qualcomm MDM9240
